Meet The Reno Gal
Hello and welcome, my friend! I’m Rachel, The Reno Gal, and my adventures in home renovations began with my first home purchase when I was 24 years old back in 2012. Over the last 9 years my fiancé, Chris, and I have moved into 3 homes and we’ve always left them better than how we found them – just like Mom taught me. I currently live on an acre in Fort Worth, Texas with my fiancé, Chris, and our small zoo. We have three cats [Piepa, Clove, and Theodore] and one very spunky Dalmatian pup [Pepper].
I LOVE remodeling homes. There’s something exciting about walking into a rundown, crap-hole of a house and seeing what could be. I’ve always been drawn to a challenge. I’m talking about a real challenge. I love to purchase a home that people come to look at and run away screaming. There’s something rewarding about purchasing a home that nobody wanted and reimagining what could be – and then making it happen!
What I love even more than renovating the homes I live in is motivating others to DIY. Chris and I have learned most of what we do via YouTube videos. It doesn’t hurt that my dad has built a few homes in his day, but mostly Chris and I just figure stuff out on our own. I’ve learned a lot over the past 9 years and my biggest wish is to share what I’ve learned with you all.
DIY renovation and decor is super easy and can be unbelievably affordable! I’m excited to encourage you into taking on your own DIY and decor projects while helping you save some serious cha-ching, cha-ching along the way.
